are blessed with three children.

A proud alumnus of Andhra University, he holds a postgraduate
degree in commerce (M.Com.).

Lion Bhaskara Rao’s association with Lionism began in 1981 when
he joined the Lions Club of Vijayawada East. Since then, his commitment and service have been
exemplary, leading to numerous awards and leadership positions. He served as President, DC, ZC,
RC, and DCT, demonstrating his dedication to serving the community at various levels. In 2008-09,
he was unanimously elected as VDG, and the following year, he served as Governor. His leadership
further extended to the Multiple Council, where he was unanimously elected as Secretary for the
Lionistic Year 2010-11. His tenure as governor was marked by significant achievements, including
a remarkable 100% family membership growth.

Lion Bhaskara Rao’s outstanding service has earned him well-deserved
recognition. During his tenure as District Governor, an impressive 15,000 IOL Operations were
conducted. His exceptional contributions have been acknowledged through awards such as Best
President (1986-87), Best ZC (1990-91), Best RC (1996-97), and the International President’s Lead￾ership Medal in 2008-09. He also received the Zinko award from the International President for
Extension of New Clubs and a World Record in Extension (30 New Clubs). Additionally, he holds
the distinction of being a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, a testament to his generous support of
the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
