PMJF Lion. K V.Ramana Rao

Lion K.V. Ramanarao hails from Velpur in Kankipadu Mandal,
Krishna District.

He is happily married to Smt. Indumathi,
and they are blessed with two children, Kiran married to Deepthi and Swapna married to Ashok.
His parents are Sri Suryanarayana Rao and Smt. Pushpavathi.

 He holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.Ed., and dedicated his professional life to
serving as a Chemistry Lecturer in Government Colleges.

Lion K.V. Ramanarao’s commitment to Lions Clubs International is
evident through his active participation in various conventions and forums. He has attended three
International Conventions - Denver (USA) in 2003, Boston (USA) in 2006, and Sydney (Australia)
in 2010. He also visited the International Headquarters at Oak Brook, Chicago (USA) in 2007.
Furthermore, he has been a part of four Area Forums held in Chennai (1999), Ahmedabad (2004),
Hyderabad (2009), and Dubai (2010).

the International Highest Award, the “Ambassador of Goodwill Award.” From 2016 to
2018, he contributed as an Associate Editor for the Lion India magazine for MD316. He was also
elected as Chairman for the Past District Governors Forum, MD316 for the period 2017-19.

During his tenure as District Governor in 2010-11, Lion K.V. Ramanarao
spearheaded numerous impactful initiatives. He adopted 200 Government / Z.P. Schools in Krishna
District to enhance education and health. He organized a Seva Mahotsav, distributing 200 sewing
machines, 200 hearing aids, and 100 tricycles to those in need. On the birthday of Lions Clubs
International founder Melvin Jones, he arranged an Annadanam Programme, providing meals to
75,000 underprivileged individuals. He also recognized the contributions of 200 Best Teachers
on Teachers’ Day and 100 Doctors on Doctors’ Day. Additionally, under his leadership, the Lions
District Blood Bank issued a remarkable 33,368 units of blood to the needy. In recognition of his
exceptional service, he received the prestigious “Light Keeper Award” from the President of Lions
Clubs International, one of only two District Governors in India to be so honoured in 2010-11.
