Lions Biography
PMJF Lion. Mulpuri Upendra
Lion Er. Mulpuri Upendra, born on August 16, 1965, in Vijayawada, is a
dynamic leader with a passion for environmental conservation, inspired by his grandfather’s
dedication to plant growth.
An engineering graduate from K.L.C.E., Vijayawada, Lion Upendra worked for Kera Sinters Limited
and Regency Ceramics Limited before establishing his construction business, Sreevani Constructions,
in Vijayawada.
A Journey of Lionistic Leadership: His Lionistic journey began in 2006 as a member of the Lions
Club of Patamata Prabhav Gold, leading to his presidency in 2007. Serving in roles like DC, ZC, RC,
and District Coordinator, he was elected 2nd Vice District Governor for 2014-15. He served as District
Governor in 2016-17 and was unanimously elected Multiple Council Chairperson for 2017-18.
Lion Upendra is happily married to Ln. Sreedevi, post graduate in space
physics, a physics lecturer. They have two children Lion Dr. M. Neeharika, M.D., and Lion M. Vamsi
Sai, pursuing his MS in Australia.

He organizes events like ‘Sankranthi-Sambaralu,’ ‘Sri Venkateswara
Kalyana Vaibhavam,’ ‘Annamaiah,’ and ‘Ashta Lakshmi Vaibhavam’ to connect members with
their roots. As District Governor, he organized significant programs like the ‘Relieving Hunger’
program during Krishna Pushkaralu, distributing food to over 1.6 million people, and the ‘Lions
Seva Brahmotsavam,’ empowering women by providing sewing machines and bicycles to 4,218
beneficiaries.
His Lionistic journey began in 2006 as a member of the Lions
Club of Patamata Prabhav Gold, leading to his presidency in 2007. Serving in roles like DC, ZC, RC,
and District Coordinator, he was elected 2nd Vice District Governor for 2014-15. He served as District
Governor in 2016-17 and was unanimously elected Multiple Council Chairperson for 2017-18.
Known for his philanthropy, Lion Upendra has
contributed to numerous permanent projects and service activities of Lions Clubs and other
organizations. He has received numerous awards, including the International President’s Leadership
Medal, for his outstanding contributions to Lionism. An extension chairperson for six clubs, he
was recognized as the best Z.C and R.C at the district level and is a Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF). As
District Governor, he received the International Presidential Medal for achieving the world’s 2nd
position in membership growth.
