PMJF Lion. V V Sai Vara Prasad
Lion V.V. Sai Vara Prasad, affectionately known as “Sai Bava”, was born
in Machilipatnam on February 26, 1957. Known for his calm and amiable nature, Lion Sai has served
Lionism with unwavering dedication for over two decades. His extensive administrative experience
and active involvement in district programs have made him a respected figure in the community.
Lion Sai’s involvement extends beyond his local community. His family shares his passion
for service. His son, Ln. V.V. Anoop, holds an M.S. from the UK, and his daughter-in-law, Suma, has
an MCA. His daughter, Ln. V. Anuhya, also holds an M.S., and his son-in-law, M. Jagadeesh, has an
M.S. as well. He is also a proud grandfather to Ayaansh Ram and Venkat Aadhvik.
He holds an M.Com. from Machilipatnam and is a successful
businessman.

ion Sai’s Lionistic journey began in 1996-97 with the Lions
Club of Vijayawada Mega City, and he is currently a member of Vijayawada Mega City Mythri. He
has served in various leadership roles, including Vice-District Governor in 2015-16, and has held
positions such as ZC, RC, DC, DCT, and DCS. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow and has participated
twice in the Regional Lions Leadership Institute at Hyderabad. He has attended Area Forums in
Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad and participated in 19 Multiple Conventions.
Lion Sai is passionate about community service and has organized
numerous veterinary and family planning camps. His extensive service hours and commitment to
Lionistic activities have earned him recognition and affection as “Sai Bava.” He has received numerous
awards, including Best President, Best Region Chairperson, Best Cabinet Treasurer, Best Cabinet
Secretary, and Lion of the District. He has also been honored with the International President Gold
Medal, Leadership Medal, Member Key, New Club Extension Awards, and Guiding Lion Awards. The
District further recognized his contributions by conferring upon him the “Seva Priya” Award.
As District Governor, Lion Sai’s achievements were remarkable.
He organized 126 IOL Camps in a single day, resulting in 1,210 cataract surgeries. He also achieved
the highest rate of Rubella vaccination for children in Andhra Pradesh. Through various Seva
Mahotsavams, he benefited 1,300 people and fed 1,00,000 people through the Relieving the Hunger
program, with the participation of 126 clubs. Additionally, he oversaw the collection of 12,000
units of blood.
Lion V.V. Sai Vara Prasad’s unwavering commitment to Lionism and his exceptional leadership have
left a lasting impact on his community and beyond. He is a true inspiration to all Lions.
